One loop at a time Part II
Little by little my confidence as a knitter improved. I discovered that I preferred top down construction techniques, smaller gauge yarns and needles and the joys of holding more than one strand of yarn at a time. Colour work really appealed to me as another way to express creativity while at the same time being fun to knit as you expose the patterns that develop.
Here are a few of the projects I recently completed for my nearest and dearest:
For my son-in-law, a green pullover knit with one strand of Isager Silk Mohair in the colour Leaf (green) and one strand of Isager Tweed in Charcoal (dark grey). The pattern is the Northland Sweater from Petite Knit, one of my favourite designers.
For the youngest family member, I made a striped pullover using four different colours of Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt. The Holger Sweater is another Petite Knit pattern and it was fun and easy. On the theme of stripes, my granddaughter loves her Lyon Sweater Junior pink and ivory sweater. This one used Sandnes Garn Double Sunday and Sunday held double.

Hats are fun to knit because you get near instant gratification. Check out the Hipster Hat (Petite Knit) made for my son to help give him high visibility on his work site. Yarn is Filcolana Pernilla in the colour Tangelo.
Ribbed toque for number one son.
And how cute is this Anemone Vest by Pernille Larsen? A bit of a stash buster, I used seven different yarns with the main colour in Filcolana Arwetta in the colour Marzipan.
