Relationships with other humans change and evolve over the years. Most important, I think, is to have a support network of some sort within easy reach, whether it be family or good friends - preferably both!

Since my son who lives in San Francisco had no plans to come to Toronto for Christmas, I decided to pay him and his lovely wife a visit instead.

The day I brought my first-born home from the hospital was one of the happiest of my life. We had just moved into our first house (yes the move happened when I was eight months pregnant and on a hot and humid June day), and I was beyond excited to play the new role of mother and homemaker.
